What we run

Five recurring formats. Each one is built to get founders in front of people who can help them, and to keep alumni in the room after graduation.

Competition

Elevator Pitch Competition

Short, timed pitches judged on clarity and substance. A low-stakes first stage for founders who are still shaping their story.

Competition

Duke Start-Up Challenge

A longer competition for teams with a working product or early traction, judged by operators and investors.

Speaker series

DukeGEN Startup Speaker Series

Founders, investors and operators share what they learned building companies. Formerly the Entrepreneurship Education Series.

Showcase

Start-Up Showcase Events

Companies present to a room of Duke alumni and friends who can invest, advise, hire or introduce.

Networking

Multi-city Networking Events

Local meetups for Duke people building or backing companies. Join the one nearest you, or start one.
